Reflecting the demands of science/technology fields, KIPO
is planning to revise the patent information search service on the KIPO homepage, allowing users more convenient service.


With the revision, users will be able to obtain patent information service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year at' www.kipo.go.kr'. Previously, the service was available for only three months. In addition to full-time availability, users will be able to search comprehensive information, including the disclosure and registration status, by inputting the application number in the search window.


Another improvement is that users can input commonly used word-based judgment numbers (ex: 95AD132) while searching the judgments/decisions for the disputes on intellectual properties. Previously, a search was available only by entering a 13-digit number, and some users experienced input errors while entering the long string.

For example, users who want to find information such as the disclosure status, registration status, and the change on authority information can do this at the same time by inputting the numerical judgment number (ex: 10-2006-0000001) or by entering the word-based judgment number in the search window on the internet information page. With this revision, general users and experts using patent information for their tasks can conveniently search for the information they need.


The revised service will collect core information for patents and display it on the first page of patent information. By addressing a fundamental need for invention science technology, the prominent display will help many users find recent science technology faster and easier.
